On some occasions when requesting a file the '#' symbol will not appear before the the pack number as show in the Server Window.
eg; *privmsg 'bot name' :xdcc send2
After which the bot will send an error message "Sorry, this command is unsupported"
Also it seems it is only happening with an IROffer type bot.
To get around this I will close Avarice and edit the 'sessions.txt' file adding the # sign where it belongs and restart Avarice and everything is fine then.
The thing that sucks is I lose my place in line by doing this.
(I'm using ver 1.6 on windows xp sp2) |

| This is because the bot admin modified the advertisement just to disrupt programs like Avarice. Luckily, there is a file that you can edit to remedy this situation. It is botdefinitions.ini in the base installation directory. It will require some regex knowledge, however. If this all seems a little much, post the network, channel, and bot - I will try to adjust the regex for the next release. |

| Sorry, I read your post too quickly. Ignore what I said above. How frequently (percentage-wise) do you see this happening? |

It has happened twice now out of maybe 30 downloads.
Also it doesn't happen on the same network. |

I'm having this same problem with IROffer bots on a couple of networks, but it's most prevalent with bots on the Frozyn network. Was anyone able to work out a fix in the botdefinitions.ini?
Thanks,
Krush
P.S. - This program is great. Why has the site become so dormant over the past year or so? |
